Les Pères Populaires is not your typical coworking café, nor is it the type of French vibed place that you expect in Paris. Still, I find that this is a nice place to go and take my laptop once in a while. Les Pères Populaires is a popular bar/restaurant with a mixed crowd. You will meet the typical old man from around the corner, but also groups of students working on their thesis. During the morning and in the afternoon it’s nice and quiet. During lunchtime (between 12 and 3) it’s somewhat chaotic. So, make sure you come before or after the lunch. Or during lunchtime if you…well…want to have lunch. The food is affordable and very, very tasty.
I have to admit: the quality of the WiFi varies. It gets kind of slow when it’s busy, so that is something to take in account. Don’t go here when you are hosting a group meeting on Skype. Some tables have access to power plugs.
As I said before: Les Pères Populaires is a very budget friendly place, especially for Paris standards. A cup of coffee is one Euro and they sell a daily lunch plate for around 10 euros. They are open from Monday to Friday from 9AM to 2AM, and on weekends from 10AM to 2AM. The nightly hours are less suitable for working

Another great wifi café in Paris with an interesting concept. In AntiCafé you pay per hour, but during the time that you are there you can drink as many coffees and lemonades as you want. There is also a buffet with cookies, snacks, bread, fruit and some salad, all included in the hourly price. AntiCafé is designed to spend a good day of work. There are two floors with tables and couches. Most important: you won’t go hungry or thirsty during your shift!
The athmosphere in AntiCafé is lively. There are many people working there and at times you might have a hard time to find a free spot. I found that it was most quiet during lunch time (Between 12AM and 3PM).
AntiCafé is a place designed for working. Therefore it’s logical that there is a good and stable WiFI connection. All tables have power plugs.
For working in AntiCafé you pay €4 per hour or €16 for the whole day. They have special weekly and monthly rates as well. The opening hours are Monday to Friday from 09h00 and 22h30 and Saturday and Sunday from 10h00 to 21h30.
There are two other locations of AntiCafé in Paris. Check their website for details.
Searching for WiFi in Paris? Looking for a spot where you can work in total concentration? Then Café Craft is the place to be. This is a café designed for freelancers. As this café is designed to work, of course the conditions are flawless. Every table has a power socket and the WiFi works.
