Just outside of the center of Utrecht you will find Koffie & Ik (Coffee and me), listed by Esquire as one of the best coffee bars in The Netherlands! Because this café with WiFi is located in a residential neighbourhood, it’s more quiet and relaxed than cafés in the center of the city. Koffie & Ik is a very suitable place for freelancers, digital nomads and any other person that wants to do some work on the laptop. On weekdays you will find many fellow freelancers here.
Koffie & Ik seems to be designed for people with laptops. There are power sockets all around and the WiFi is working perfectly. Overall, the vibe in this café is calm: there is music playing and people are talking softly. If you like some buzz around you, this is the perfect spot.
Of course Koffie & Ik serves all varieties of coffee. You can also get some home baked sweets, breakfast and lunch with home baked bread. Koffie & Ik is opened from Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM, Saturday from 9AM to 5PM and Sunday from 9AM to 5PM. You can reach this WiFi café by foot, about 15 minutes west from the central station.

This is a great place just for its unexpected location. Paviljoen pOp is located in the middle of a busy roundabout. It’s set up as a meeting place for inhabitants of the area, but also for freelancers, social entrepeneurs and designers. Paviljoen pOp offers free wifi, ‘slow coffee’, (organic) soups, toasts and cake. This is a small and basic place, but designed perfectly to get some work done. It’s located very near to the central station, which makes it even more convenient.
